Azerbaijan has introduced temporary restrictions on poultry imports from some regions of Russia, follows from the statements circulated Wednesday by the State service of veterinary surveillance under the Ministry of agriculture.

The corresponding order was signed by the civil service in connection with the common world organization for animal health information on that in two localities Yashaltinskogo district of the Republic of Kalmykia and in one locality Harabalinskogo district of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation in poultry is widespread avian influenza high pathogenicity (H5).

"Azerbaijan imposed a temporary restriction on the import of poultry products from certain regions of Russia", – said in a statement.
