The Indian government has developed a unique scheme of identification of cows. This step will help officials to monitor the overall health of the cows and to check the availability of timely vaccinations. According to the newspaper The Economic Times, the government is going to allocate 14 800 000 rupees for this program.

A special team of technicians will be considered and marked Buffalo 41 million and 47 million dairy cows. Each animal in the ear will be attached a special tag made from lightweight environmentally friendly material that does not cause discomfort. This tag will contain a unique 12-digit number, and the animal itself will be equipped with special medical card, which will be given vaccination schedule. All codes will be entered into an online database.
