In Russia since March 6, 2017 starts trading sugar and swap grain trade, according to the website of the National commodity exchange (NTB).

Bidding will be held on NTBs, the clearing organization would be the Bank "national clearing centre". As in the grain trade, the sugar will be forward contracts. In the future, are not excluded and futures.

That Russia can start trading with sugar in December 2016, said the Director of the Department of the commodity market of the exchange Mikhail Orlenko. He noted that the organization of the sugar trading into account the experience of organization of trades in the grain, which was launched on NTBs in the fall of 2015, and features of the sugar market. Then also it was notedthat the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia estimates the share of exchange trading of sugar "in 5-7-10% of the market in sugar".
