Names such goods will become more cumbersome – for example, the usual sour cream will be a "milk product with milk fat substitute produced according to the technology of sour cream".

The Ministry of agriculture believe that innovation will help the user to get full information about the product and will contribute to the fight against falsification of dairy products.

Member of the Commission of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation on issues of agriculture and rural development Alexander Khamidullin believes that the packaging of the food product should speak clearly about its composition. All such innovations, when manufacturers were obliged to write "with the addition of milk powder" or "powdered milk", is ineffective. And visually impaired is no way to know exactly what is in a particular product they want to buy" — said social activist.

Alexander Khamidullin also noted that the necessary comprehensive approach and analysis focus groups in the implementation of this initiative. "I am confident that we will find ways to hide the long unreadable and hard to understand for most Russians under the name vivid words-substitutes", — said the member of the public chamber.

It is also noted that the Russian Ministry of agriculture has proposed that the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) to make amendments to the technical regulation "On safety of milk and dairy products".
