The meeting was held by Deputy Chairman of the government of the Leningrad region – Chairman of the Committee on agriculture and fisheries Sergey yakhnyuk. He noted that the region is a leader in Russia in dairy cattle and poultry, implements a number of investment projects on development of greenhouse production to grow vegetables, flowers and mushrooms, the projects on beef cattle breeding and fish farming.
Michael Lotem said that Leningraskoe one of the leaders in the Russian dairy farming and the implementation of innovative projects in agriculture. The guest expressed the interest of the Israeli side in joint projects for the production and processing of milk, construction of greenhouses, in particular the flower-growing, cooperation on beef production and fish farming.
Following the meeting it was noted that in may in Leningrad region there will be a meeting of representatives of agriculture of Israel with their Russian counterparts to discuss ways of implementation of the project for the production of milk.
