As reported by "Vedomosti", the four cheese producers – companies "Umalat", "Sanmyaku", "White bear" and the businessman Vadim Aghamiryan – failed to challenge the decision of Rospatent and to remove the protection of the appellation of origin of goods and the exclusive rights to use it.

The decision the court made on 19 April, the reasoning of the decision was published last week.

As confirmed in the Ministry of agriculture of RA, a real Adyghe cheese is produced only in Adygea. This right is at five dairy plants in the Republic of Shovgenovsky, Giaginskaya, Tambov, red and Adyghe.
