Representatives of the organization UN industrial development organization (UNIDO) and the Russian permanent mission to the international organizations in Vienna on Wednesday signed an agreement to implement the project of development of fish processing and aquaculture in Ethiopia in the region, the country's largest lake Tana.
The implementation of the project to which the Russian Federation allocates almost $ 2.3 million, will allow local residents from unsystematic catch and short-term storage of fish, harming the ecology of the pond, go to the fish factory quality, improve the qualification of specialists in the food industry, to ensure the restoration of the lake's resources.
The Russian project will work in the coming months. It is four years, after which the training centre of fish processing industrial workshops and a functioning system of aquaculture development in the region to balance production and consumption of fish will be handed over to the authorities and the people of Ethiopia.
