"In confirmation of the trajectory of recovery of the two economies, the trade turnover between Brazil and Russia grew by more than 40% in the first five months of 2017, compared to the same period last year. However, it is much lower than our potential", — said the head of state.
"Given the scale economies of our two countries there is room for further growth. We are interested to expand the access of our agricultural products to the Russian market and to diversify our export", — said Temer.
He added that Brazil and Russia will also work towards bringing together the common market of the South (MERCOSUR) and the Eurasian economic Union (EEU).
June 6, foreign Ministry of Brazil reported that Temer will be in Russia on a visit on June 20-21. After that, the head of the South American Republic will travel to Norway.
