Grasshoppers completely destroyed in the Stavropol region, the state of emergency will be lifted on Wednesday, June 28, but the regional authorities do not exclude that the pest will again inhabit the farmland region, said the head of the regional Ministry of agriculture Vladimir Sitnikov on Tuesday.

"We are preparing for the second possible wave of the emergence of the locust, it is an Asiatic locust, its source of emergence is in Liman district of Astrakhan region. But while the situation is under control", – said Vladimir Sitnikov.

He said that the state of emergency imposed in late may, neftekumsky, Levokumskij and arzgirskogo districts of the Stavropol region because of locust will be removed from June 28.
