The Federal customs service (FCS) records the decrease in volumes of import to Russia of products of sanctions, told reporters the head of the FCS of Russia Vladimir Bulavin. Now the customs officers to intercept such products at border posts, and on Federal highways.

"It seems to us that lately the "sanctions" was significantly less than in Russia, but this does not mean that it is not. And the main problem here is that any product released from our partners in the EEU, is the product of the Union and has the right of circulation throughout the territory of the Customs Union. So if our friends and partners have joined our response to the sanctions, we would have this problem was not" — said Bulavin.

Customs failed to reduce the number of sanctioned goods to Russia with the help of control after release of goods.

"We have such a customs regime, as control after release of goods, and using it, we came out with the appropriate checks in the vegetable warehouse, various store locations, primarily fruits and vegetables" — said Bulavin.

Another measure to combat the import of sanctioned goods to the Russian territory became mobile group. But now they do not work on the border of Russia with Belarus and Kazakhstan, and on Federal highways.

"Initially, when we created the mobile group, the calculation was for a certain preventive effect that their very existence will exert a deterrent influence on the penetration of sanctioned goods from partner countries in the Customs Union. But, unfortunately, this has not happened, and the preventive effect was not as significant as we had expected, but the phenomenon – the flow "sanctions" – has become widespread. So we were forced to change our attitude to this phenomenon at the system level – that is, if we acted sooner in close proximity to the border, but now we have embarked on Federal roads", — said Bulavin.
