Locust larvae found over an area of more than 1.2 thousand ha. the Average number of pest – 59 larvae per 1 sq. m. the Locust appeared in the Soviet, Krasnoperekopskiy and Dzhankojsky areas. According to the Ministry, in the Soviet district of the chemicals processed 312 hectares of lands of state property.

"We caught the plane from the Krasnodar region, with which special preparations sprayed pest infected areas. Unable to ascertain the effectiveness of the used chemicals. On the treated area recorded the death of locusts. Fuel and insecticides, it is sufficient to localize the infection", – cited the press service of the words of the Minister of agriculture of the Crimea Andrei Rusina.

A. Rumson expressed the hope that in the coming days, the pest control in Crimea to be completed.
