In turn, the foreign Minister of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdel Rahman al Thani said that the country is not currently experiencing a need for additional food supplies.
"An agreement (the Russian supply of food in Qatar – ed.) was not signed but had a conversation, including between the President and the Emir of Qatar, foreign Ministers that Russia is ready to send or sell products to Qatar, if he asks. I had meetings in the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, and we really want to intensify this moment", — said the Ambassador.
Earlier it was reported that Qatar is negotiating with Turkey and Iran on the supply of food and water. Iran has previously sent to Qatar five planes of food. From Iran was also sent three ships of 350 tons of food.
