In the region launched after the reconstruction of the plant for deep processing of eggs at the poultry farm "Roskar". According to the Governor Alexander Drozdenko, the modernization will allow to produce products that meet international standards.

The Leningrad region is the leader in Russia in production of eggs. Regional enterprises produce nearly 3 billion eggs per year. This is 6.2 times higher than the total domestic consumption.
