Russia in the world trade organization (WTO) would seek the abolition of agricultural subsidies similar to the one that aggressively applies the EU to protect their own producers. This was stated by the Minister of economic development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin.

"We see that other countries use channel aggressive subsidies, it distorts competition. Our much more competitive products in terms of both quality and cost in the end cannot get to the markets, as countries closed their markets", - he explained.

According to him, it is also necessary to address the issues associated with the prohibition of subsidies that contribute to illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing.
