According to the report, the terminal will consist of a silo with a capacity of 50 thousand tons and finished product warehouse with a capacity of about 10 tons. Investments Polski Cukier also include construction of logistics infrastructure: Parking for 37 trucks, warehouse of 130 containers and upgrading of access roads.
"The construction of the first sugar terminal in Poland will give an opportunity to provide an export campaign at around 75 thousand tons of sugar, which will reduce the necessity of renting premises to external warehouses through effective use of silos in the port, will reduce costs for handling, transportation, storage, and materials and labor and, finally, the quantitative loss of sugar during transportation between the sugar factory, by external warehouse and port. The investment will allow to provide export outside the EU via the port of Gdansk, 300 thousand tons of sugar a year", - said the Chairman of the Polski Cukier Henry Wnorowski.
It is noted that the construction of the port is expected to be completed in 2028, it is planned to allocate 6 to 9 billion zloty (1.4-2.1 billion euros).
