This opinion in an interview with Armenian news-NEWS.am was expressed by Deputy Minister of agriculture of Armenia Mr. Ashot Harutyunyan.

According to him, currently the Ministry of agriculture is discussing taken further steps to mitigate the negative impact from a rise in price of diesel fuel.

"We need to work toward increasing yields, to the extent possible to mitigate the impact of price increase of energy carriers on the cost of agricultural products," he said.

Recall that from January 1, 2018 in connection with the entry into force of the new Tax code and customs code of the EAEU, increased excise taxes, which led to the rise in price of petrol, compressed gas and diesel fuel for 10-17%.
