The Ministry of agriculture of Azerbaijan has banned the importation of live chickens and chicken products from a number of countries in connection with the distribution in these countries, "bird flu", have informed Agency "Interfax-Azerbaijan" Agency.

"According to the world health organization in several countries: Italy, Korea, Congo, Iran, Iraq, Russia, UK, Afghanistan, China cases of the disease chickens "bird flu" — noted in the Ministry of agriculture.

In neighbouring Iran, the disease of birds took on a mass character, in connection with which destroyed 25 million birds. In addition, information about new cases from Iran are coming in every day.

"Given the situation, the decision to ban the import of live chickens and chicken products from Iran and other countries, where cases of disease "bird flu" — said the Agency.
