The topic of conversation was the results of work of fishery complex in 2017 and prospects of development of the industry. He said that today is actively developing the production of commercial aquaculture, a positive role was played by the adoption of a law on aquaculture, which entered into force in 2014. The dynamic growth shown by the farmers of Western Siberia and the Primorye maritimer.

According to Ilya Shestakov, the whole industry is on the rise. The growth of the gross turnover of the fisheries industry in 2017 amounted to 7%.

The head of the Agency drew attention that the mechanism of the investment quota has targeted to change the structure of production through the construction of new high-tech vessels with on Board processing. He also announced the results of the first application campaign to participate in the distribution of the investment quota, which the Agency has spent the past year. The special Committee selected 56 applications of the submitted 68 applications. Through the mechanism of investment quotas for domestic shipyards will be built 33 vessels and 23 onshore processing plant, including large and large ships for the Far East (6 projects), 27 medium-and small – for the North pool.

For the construction of ships has already signed contracts with domestic shipyards, among them the Vyborg shipyard, Admiralteiskie Verfi, "Yantar". Seven vessels under construction. The volume of investments on the selected projects is estimated at 140 billion rubles in the next five years.

"Okay, but you need this program to bring to an end, to its logical conclusion, that is, before the construction of the vessels and their acceptance into operation. The fishermen are waiting for these vessels. I hope everything will end successfully", – noted Dmitry Medvedev in the end of the meeting.
