Reindeer of the Nenets Autonomous district for the first time will begin to be exported. About this TASS said the Chairman of SPK "Izhemsky Olenevod Ko" Konstantin Lichutin.

"While the meat of the Nenets Autonomous district on the export nobody sends, our region is closed, since it is not included in the EU Directive, where you can put meat. There are Murmansk, Arkhangelsk region and the Yamal Peninsula, so we have the task of "opening" of the region. While this is Finland, because we [SPK "Izhemsky Olenevod Ko"] was attestovala in the European Union, the next stage is Norway," said TASS Lichutin.

As explained by the Chairman of the SEC, in the next season export will be sent to almost all venison farms - about 200 tons. To do this, from the Nenets Autonomous district sent for export deer skins. "Our farm and SPK "Harp" was sending them to Finland," explained Lichutin. In the framework of the international project "Deer skin - high quality", funded under the cross-border cooperation programme "Kolarctic" in the economy was delivered to the drum for the salting of skins and further implementation of the lead partner of the project is the Finnish company "JSC Lapin Nahka".

Only in 2017 agricultural production cooperative directed on realization of 10.6 thousand skins total weight of 36.1 tons. As noted by the head of the enterprise, for the development of export direction is required the joint actions of businesses and government.

"It's a natural for our time economic scheme where we offer not just to subsidize from the budget the purchase of meat, and when the manufacturer is ready to build a favorable economic routes to deliver raw materials on foreign markets", - said during the working visit of the acting Governor of the Nenets Autonomous area Alexander Tsybulsky.

The largest reindeer farm

To date, the sector employs 260 people. Carry out 20 grazing reindeer herding brigades. SPK "Izhemsky Olenevod Ko" is the largest deer farm in the European part of Russia, breeding reproducer of reindeer. The number of deer as at 1 January 2018 amounted to 27785 and about 8000 private stock.
