Stavropol territory it is necessary to expand the range of exported products, increasing the share of enterprises in the processing sector in total exports. This was reported by TASS on Wednesday, the Minister of economic development of the region Valery Sizov at the scientific-practical conference "Export: 26 region".

"One of our main objectives is to increase the range of exported products, mostly export products processing, including in the field of agriculture. Exports to these areas increased, but not at the pace that we wanted. We now have almost 50% [of the total] - chemical production, 30% is agriculture, the rest in aggregate processing" - he said.

According to Sizov, the increase in the share of non-oil export allows you to increase the volume of foreign trade turnover. "We have enough successful examples of individual companies that came out on interesting foreign markets, we would like to turn it into a kind of export system for our business. Specific examples - "Chizberri" (manufacturer of dessert - approx. TASS) began to sell products in China, manufacturers of meat and poultry entered the market in the Middle East, working quite successfully," - said the Minister.

The volume of foreign trade turnover of the Stavropol territory at the end of 2017 exceeded 1.7 billion U.S. dollars, the growth compared with the year 2016 20%. "Exported products in the first place - grain, fertilizer, we are the leaders of the world market of synthetic sapphire. We are increasing our sales of flour, pasta. We have good prospects in expanding the production volumes of our major businesses in the field of household chemicals and fertilizers," - said at the conference, the Chairman of the government of region Andrey Murga.
