The event is held in order to prevent the spread of the virus, carriers of which are boars, threatening even the dead. The deadline - until June 29. A reward can get people who are not hunters and employees of the forest service. To get citizens involved in the search should enable a larger scale to explore and to dispose of dead animals. About the discovery of a dead wild boar should be reported to the veterinarian, who will confirm this fact. On payments the government has allocated 350 thousand PLN.

Payments for the dead wild pigs may minimize the occurrence of unattended corpses in Lublin Voivodeship. So last week the residents of one of the districts told the media about finding bags with the remains of wild boar, which for several days lay scattered around the surrounding settlements. All journalists counted 3 sacks on the forest Park and about 9 bags of asphalt road. 7 more bodies found in the village nearby.

Concerned residents are wondering: "were taken from these animals samples for ASF? How does this fit in with accusations of farmers in non-compliance of Biosafety, and how to protect themselves from the spread of the virus in the area?"

The ASF virus appeared in Poland in 2014. So far identified 108 outbreaks of this disease in pigs (of which four in 2018-th year) and 1590 outbreaks among wild boars (of which 700 this year).
