The investor intends to start production of berries on an industrial scale at one of the sites of the territory of priority development (TOR) "Khabarovsk". TASS reported on Tuesday the founder of the company "far-Eastern berries" Peter, Gavrushenko.

"We plan to grow in industrial-scale production of raspberries, currants, strawberries, sea-buckthorn, honeysuckle, and later, blueberries and cranberries. This spring begin the cultivation of the land. Almost all the necessary equipment is bought," he said.

The founder of the company said that the plantation could take more than 20 hectares in the area "rakitna" THOR "Khabarovsk". In 2018 I plan to lay a trial area which is expected the sponsors will give over the summer, several tons of the crop. Industrial volumes of enterprise owners plan to exit by 2021.

"Varieties take only industrial, there will be a special variety of strawberry bred specifically for the far Eastern climate conditions," he added, Gavrushenko. He said that in the summer plan to sell fresh berries, and the remaining will be frozen and trade them all year round. To deliver the products in all the regions of the Far East.

 

Gavrushenko noted that the demand for the berry in the far East is large and fully meet the needs of the population in berry providers now not in Russia, berries plants a little, and the main volumes imported from China.

The company filed an application to obtain resident status TOR Ministry in Khabarovsk.
