Russia is ready to consider expanding the list of suppliers of tomatoes from Turkey.
Russia may expand the list of Turkish suppliers of tomatoes, according to Rosselkhoznadzor on Tuesday.

"Rosselkhoznadzor has proposed to the Ministry of food, agriculture and livestock of Turkish Republic to consider provision of additional list of plants interested in export to the Russian Federation tomatoes", — stated in the message Department.

It is noted that the Russian side was sent to the Turkish colleagues, "the visit of the delegation of the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists to familiarize themselves with production system of tomatoes on these plants".

 
 

Russia introduced an embargo on the supply of Turkey a number of products from 1 January 2016 in response to the attack on the Turkish air force Russian su-24 in Syria at the end of November 2015. In the fall of 2016 limits consistently starred, however, a ban on the supply of tomatoes, one of the most important for Turkish goods remained until November 2017.
