The Russian government has approved the construction of two factories in Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, which will generate electricity through the use of wastes of production and consumption. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on March 31.
It is noted that the garbage power plants planned to be built in the regions will account for 55 MW.
The document notes that the competitive selection of the investor for implementation of these projects will be held in 2018.
"RT-invest" (enters into state Corporation "rostec") had previously won the tender for the construction of four incinerators in the suburbs and one in Tatarstan. The capacity of each of the four facilities in the Moscow region will amount to 700 thousand tons annually, with production of 70 MW of electricity. Taking into account the fifth factory "RT-invest" will annually recycle 2.95 million tons of garbage and to produce 335 MW of electricity.
