Moroccan locusts threatens the South of Kazakhstan — the Ministry of agriculture.
This year there is the threat of mass distribution of the Moroccan locust in South Kazakhstan and Zhambyl regions. This was stated by first Deputy Minister of agriculture of Kazakhstan Arman Evniev, speaking at a Government meeting, the correspondent of MIA "Kazinform".

"This year, according to forecasts, there is a risk of spread of harmful and especially harmful organisms on the territory of the 5.1 million hectares, including 1.92 million hectares of locusts, 2.4 million — diseases of crops and so on", — said Arman Yevniyev.

Today completed tenders for the purchase of pesticides. Mobilized 540 pieces of equipment to combat locusts. In South Kazakhstan and Zhambyl regions identified suppliers of chemical processing, other regions held competitive operation.
