"The Russian side expressed concern that currently in the Republic of Armenia is a favorable situation for the supply of tomatoes of Turkish origin under the form produced in the territory of the Republic of Armenia... the Parties have agreed to conduct inspections of the activities of Armenian enterprises for the production of tomatoes since April 11", — stated in the message.

According to the Russian Agency, the Russian market tomatoes are supplied mainly by two organizations-exporters ("spike" and "Grinprodukt"), which have as their own derivatives of the square, and engaged in buying tomatoes from different manufacturers.

The increase in production volumes and intensity of a shipment of tomatoes in the Russian Federation testifies to their possible re-export of the Armenian side, including those of Turkish origin, says the service.

To clarify the situation with the supply of tomatoes from Armenia to Russia the Rosselkhoznadzor requested the Armenian side has information about the producers of tomatoes and the volume of the cultivation and production of these products in 2018. It will be provided to the Agency on April 10.
