From 1 July 2018 all producers of animal products in Russia should pass to electronic document management. It is implied that all veterinary certificates on such products will be handled in the system "mercury". The requirement affects manufacturers of meat and milk, meat and dairy products (including cheese) and other products. According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the design of EVS will help to trace the path of products from the manufacturer to the store.

"At the moment, the X5 about 1.5 million suppliers of products subject to veterinary certification from 1 July 2018. Of these, about 50% did not confirm readiness to work in FGIS "mercury", or have not held a complex of measures on implementation of the FGIS "mercury" in their own business processes," — said the representative of the retailer.

According to him, the unwillingness to work by "mercury" company was notified not only regional, but also the largest Federal providers. Among the first hundred largest suppliers nearly 35% had not tested the system at their companies and do not adjust to the mercury your business processes. These companies are at high risk of failing to deliver products from 1 July, which in turn could face a shortage of goods in stores, warned the representative of X5 Retail.

The situation is similar from a competitor X5 "Magnet": only half of providers registered in the system, told "Vedomosti" representative of the trading network.

The representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Melano confirmed that the Agency is aware of the unwillingness of many providers to move to electronic veterinary certification.

"We fully share the concern of the company in part to the fact that to date many market participants do not fully realize the necessity of speeding up work, moving to electronic format," — said RIA Novosti in a few words.

The spokesman added that the transition to the system "mercury" is not a requirement of the Department, and "the indication of the President".
