Russia's agriculture Ministry does not rule out purchasing interventions in 2018, said the Deputy Director of Department of agricultural markets Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Fedyushin at a meeting in Novosibirsk on Thursday.

"The Ministry of agriculture does not preclude the use of government intervention," he said, adding that the decision will be taken depending on the conjuncture of the grain market.

Currently the intervention Fund holds 4 million tons of grain, and 44% in the elevators at SFO.

D. Fedyushin also said that "closer to June" is planned to export about 500 thousand tons of grain from the intervention Fund, most of this grain will be implemented from Siberia.

He also noted that the possible "point of intervention" in the regions of Siberia. "We will carry out spot purchasing interventions in the constituent entities of Siberian Federal district", - he said.

As previously reported, the agriculture Ministry has agreed with the Federal Antimonopoly service limit levels of minimum prices for grain harvest in 2018 for the state purchasing interventions in 2018-2019.

If the decision about carrying out purchasing interventions in the new agricultural year (July 2018 - June 2019 biennium) , USDA proposes to set the price of wheat of 1st class at 10.9 thousand rubles per ton with VAT (in this agricultural year - 12.5 thousand rubles), for wheat of 2nd grade - 9,9 thousand roubles (11.5 million rubles).

For wheat of the 3rd class provides a price of 8,9 thousand rubles (10,3 thousand), wheat of 4 class - 7,6 thousand (9 thousand rubles), 5th class - 6,4 thousand roubles (7,6 thousand).

The minimum price for rye is proposed to establish at the level of 5.9 thousand rubles per ton (7.4 thousand rubles), barley - 6,5 thousand rubles (7,6 thousand), corn - 7,1 thousand (7.9 per thousand).

This agricultural year purchasing interventions on the grain market was conducted - the Ministry of agriculture believes that a more effective mechanism for maintaining prices is to subsidize the transportation of grain from ports in remote regions.
