According to the information received, the main speaker at the meeting was the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeyev, the Vice-President of RAS Irina Donnik, state Secretary – Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Ivan Lebedev and scientific Director of the all-Russian research Institute of agricultural Economics Ivan Ushachev. In the course of the event considered issues of improvement of mechanisms of state support of agriculture, tariff regulation and export support for agricultural products, as well as prospects of development of domestic agriculture.

Following the discussion, the participants recommended that the government of the Russian Federation and the relevant Federal Executive authorities jointly with the Russian Academy of Sciences to consider the draft long-term strategy of development of agroindustrial complex of the Russian Federation and to submit for broad public discussion of proposals on prospects of development of branches of agriculture and agribusiness in General 10-15 year period, including measures of tariff regulation and export support for agricultural products.
