Including in the southern Federal district spring sowing carried out on an area of 5.3 million ha or 85.3% of the forecast (2017 – 4.7 million hectares). In the North Caucasus Federal district – 1.7 million hectares or 88% of the forecast (2017 – 1.7 million ha). In the Central Federal district 7.8 million hectares, or 81.2% of the forecast (2017 – 7.9 million hectares). In the Volga Federal district is 12.2 million ha, or 76.8% of the forecast (2017 12.1 million hectares). In the North-Western Federal district – 268,0 thousand hectares or 50.5% of the forecast (2017 – 232,6 thousand hectares). In the far Eastern Federal district – 940,5 thousand hectares or 48.9% of the forecast (2017 – 827,9 thousand hectares). In the Urals Federal district – 2.0 million hectares or 44.7% of the forecast (2017 to 2.7 million hectares). In the Siberian Federal district – 3.8 million ha or 29.5% of the forecast (2017 – 6.9 million ha).

Spring grain and leguminous crops in the whole country planted on an area of 19.3 million hectares, or 62,1% of the forecast (2017 22.4 million hectares). Of them, spring wheat was sown 6.4 million hectares or 49.3% of the forecast (2017 – 8.5 million ha). Spring barley was sown on the area of 6.0 million hectares, or 78.6% of the forecast (2017 – 6.2 million hectares). Corn for grain was sown on an area of 2.3 million hectares or 78% of the forecast (2017 to 2.6 million hectares). Rice was sown 153,4 thousand ha or 83.3% of the forecast (2017 – 143,9 thousand hectares).

Sugar beet (factory) planted on an area of 1.1 million hectares or 101.7% of the forecast (2017 to 1.2 million hectares).

Flax was sown on the area of 24.0 thousand hectares or 51.4% of the forecast (2017 – 24,0 thousand hectares).

Sunflower planted on an area of 6.3 million ha, or 83.8 per cent of the forecast (2017 – 6.0 million ha).

Soybeans planted on an area of 1.7 million hectares or 63.5% of the forecast (2017 – 1.5 million hectares).

Winter rape sown on the area of 878,3 hectares, or 83.6 per cent of the forecast (2017 – 662,2 thousand hectares).

In the agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) potatoes planted in the square 190,1 thousand ha, or 62.2% of the forecast (2017 194,7 thousand hectares). Vegetables were sown 112.0 thousand hectares or 63.7% of the forecast (2017 – 109,9 thousand hectares).
