"As soon as it opens cargo road links with the Crimea on the new bridge, we are ready to start shipping their meat. I know that the government of Crimea and Russian transport Ministry's plan to open the freight traffic this fall. (...) In General we sell in Russia about 120-130 thousand tons of meat in slaughter weight. Of them at least several dozen thousand tons we are ready to move to the Crimea", - said Orlov.

He noted that the preparatory work on search of partners and buyers are already underway. "We are there (in Crimea) will be able to be competitive because, first, we have high quality eco-friendly product. Secondly, price policy in the South of Russia we have no equal, because, as you know, the number of beef cattle and number of sheep in Kalmykia is in second place in the Russian Federation", - said Orlov.

Farming is a strategic branch of agriculture in the Republic, which accounts for more than 80% of gross output of the industry.
