In late may, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak reported that the Russian authorities have decided to reduce the excise tax on diesel fuel to 2 thousand rubles per tonne from the existing, gasoline — on 3 thousand roubles for the stabilization of prices of petroleum products on the domestic market. This reduction must occur not later than July 1.
