A factory for the production of gluten-free oats will be created in the Novgorod region, the construction will start in 2018, the amount of investment will amount to 400 million rubles, the products will be export-oriented, said Tuesday TASS Deputy Governor of the Novgorod region Timothy Gusev.

"The area government has signed an agreement with the company "Stashevskoe", which plans to start construction of a factory for the production of gluten-free cereals in 2018 with an investment of 400 million rubles. It is planned to produce gluten-free oatmeal and porridge. This, of course, export orientation and work with our trading networks. We have the market there, but it is still small, there is no culture of consumption of these products," - said the Deputy Governor.

According to Gusev, the company also intends to establish an agricultural cooperative that will engage in the production of other Novgorod farmers.

"For us it's jobs, plus a multiplier effect on other farmers, so as to create the agricultural cooperative. And this plant account that not only he will raise oats, but that other agricultural companies will be able to produce these products," - said the Deputy Governor.

As reported TASS, the General Director of the company "Stashevskoe" Vadim of Persia, the factory plans to produce about 230 tons of cereal per month. He added that gluten-free products are mostly enjoyed by people who lead a healthy lifestyle, or those whose body cannot tolerate gluten.
