Grant support farmers in the Novgorod region in 2018 increased by 19% and amounted to 93.3 million rubles. This year we also added a new direction for the development of agricultural cooperatives, said Tuesday TASS, the Minister of agriculture Elena Pokrovskaya.

"In 2018 the amount of state support of small forms of management in the Novgorod region will amount to RUR 93.3 million is 19.3% more than in 2017. Also now to the two existing areas of grant support added a third - the development of material-technical base of agricultural consumer cooperatives", - said the Agency interlocutor.

According to her, the competition Commission has already selected 23 households who will receive grant support. Among them, including beginning farmers who plan to engage mainly milk and meat cattle breeding. In the list of grantees is also five family livestock farms - they are going to send funds for development of milk production and breeding of sheep. Pokrovskaya added that 37.4 million roubles will allocate for a new direction to the two agricultural cooperatives.
