According to information on state statistics, for June of the current year the number of pigs in all categories of agricultural producers by the beginning of June 2018 amounted to 373,7 thousand heads, and the number of sheep and goats 1197,5 thousand heads, or 1.3% less than the year before.

During this period, is observed positive dynamics. In particular, increased the number of cattle in farms of all agricultural producers on 2% and has made 609,9 thousand heads, and the number of cows — 2.3% more than the previous year (the current figure 288,2 thousand heads).

As previously reported by RBC Rostov, don region during the year, the livestock production grew by 36.6%. In farms of all categories produced 187,6 thousand tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight.
