According to the official body of the state statistics Committee, by June 2018 in agricultural, procurement and processing organizations of the Rostov region had 793,4 thousand tons of grain, which is by 32.1 thousand tons more, than on 1 June 2017.

Compared to last year's data, grain stocks decreased in the agricultural organizations of 87.7 thousand tons (38.3 per cent) and increased procurement and processing organizations — 119,8 thousand tons (22.5 per cent).

As previously reported Rostov RBC, the grain harvest in 2017 in the Rostov region exceeded the previous record levels. In 2016, the harvest of grain harvested in the don amounted to more than 11.7 million tonnes, which became the absolute historical record of the region. In 2017 this figure exceeded 13 million tons.
