The authorities of the Crimea, where idle about 10% of agricultural land, by 2020, plan to complete work on their involvement in the rotation, said Tuesday TASS, the Minister of agriculture of the Republic Andrey Ryumshin.

According to him, today in Crimea of the 1.87 million ha of agricultural land is not used 178 thousand hectares.

"Developed a road map according to which the completion of the measures for involvement of unused agricultural land of the Republic of Crimea is planned for 2020" - said the Minister.

He added that one-third of the total area of unused agricultural land is located in the Leninsky district, more than 13% in Dzhankoy and about 7-8% in Bakhchisaray, Belogorsk and black sea areas. "In other districts and urban districts of the Republic of Crimea, the area of unused agricultural land does not exceed 5% of the total area of agricultural land in General," said Rumson.

He added that the introduction of additional space in turnover will allow "to raise efficiency of use of agricultural land and to ensure food security of the country."

According to the Ministry of agriculture of the Crimea in 2017 was involved in the turnover of unused agricultural land area of 32.4 thousand hectares, in 2018 it is planned to introduce another 33 thousand hectares.
