The Finance Ministry has approved proposals for the development of winemaking in Russia.
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation generally approved the proposal of the Minister of agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, aimed at the development of viticulture and winemaking in Russia, told RIA Novosti in the press service of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Clarifies that Patrushev has sent these proposals directly to the first Deputy Minister – Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, as they affect the area of responsibility of both ministries.

"In General, the proposed areas of work is approved, their details, including possible adjustment of the regulatory framework, currently assigned to the Federal bodies of Executive power", — noted in the Ministry of agriculture.

 

As added in Department, the implementation of these initiatives, the efforts of the Ministry of agriculture, first and foremost, be aimed at protecting the Russian winegrowers and winemakers.

On Thursday, the agriculture Ministry quoted Patrushev that Russia by 2025 needs to increase the area of vineyards up to 120-140 thousand hectares, ensuring the needs of the wine industry in the domestic planting material, as well as the substitution of 80% of the wine material, and additionally create industry-up to 20 thousand jobs.
