"Turkey is a special market for the consumption of meat products. The first batch of beef supplied to the market of Turkey," — said Gordeev.

"We already have direct applications as Turkey and many Middle Eastern countries related to the supply of beef. We still hope that will open the Chinese market for us, there are prospects," he added.

According to him, Russia has great prospects and poultry, needs to address the issue of administrative barriers.

"The question is, in fact, only one — so we can break through administrative barriers used by many countries and governments. I think that is the issue that lies just on the government, the Ministry of agriculture. And, I hope, in the course of negotiations we will manage to solve this problem," — said Deputy Prime Minister.

He said that Russia in 2017 exported 300 thousand tons of meat products. "20 years ago we in the structure of consumption of meat products was about 70% of imports. Today we are entering for export. The challenge in the next six years to increase the supply of meat products for export to 1 million tons," — said Gordeev.
