"In the first decade of August in the Stavropol region began the mass harvesting of table varieties of grapes. Harvest is planned above the level of last year. In the fall the farmers have cleaning technical grape varieties, work on the establishment of new vineyards. According to the regional Ministry of agriculture, in 2017 the grape harvest in the Stavropol region exceeded 36 thousand tons. "The need of the population in table grapes is growing every year. And farmers of the region have the opportunity to develop the direction of table grapes, not afraid of competition, as the market is free," - noted in the "Stavropolvinogradprom".

Each year, the region laid more than 200 hectares of new vineyards. By the end of 2017 receipt of excise taxes from wine production in the budget of the region increased by more than 1 billion rubles and amounted to 4.5 billion rubles.
