The Rosselkhoznadzor has delayed the introduction of restrictions on the import of peaches from Serbia.

"Products shipped before August 16, 2018, will be allowed to import into the territory of the Russian Federation in case of positive results of the quarantine phytosanitary control," added Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to the Federal customs service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, imports of fresh apricots, cherries, peaches and nectarines, plums and sloe in Russia in 2017 amounted to 448,462 thousand tons. Import these fruits from Serbia amounted to 56,744 thousand tons (12.7% in total imports, the third place after Turkey and Belarus), from Macedonia — 5,943 thousand tons (1.3% in import).
