According to the information-analytical system "Argus", the volume of imports of food products regulated by the Rosselkhoznadzor, for these three weeks amounted to about 192 thousand tons.

The percentage distribution among the groups of the imported goods following: 24,7% of the total import volume made up of vegetable products; 19,7% – fish and seafood; 19,08% – meat;16,27% – milk and dairy products. Large share of import fell on feeds and feed additives (14,84%) and finished meat and fish products (4,61%).

Among the meat products a significant share in imports fell for beef (7,53%) and poultry meat (5,41%). The import volume of eggs increased by 0.8% from the total import volume of food products for a specified period.

In the period from 13 August to 2 September 2018 28,59% of the products were imported from countries of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU); of 9.14% from the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation (APEC); of 8.27% from EU countries. The main countries – trade partners of Belarus (26.5 per cent), Paraguay (17.9 per cent), Brazil (9.8 per cent) and Chile (3.7 percent).

Trademark-geographical structure of imports, we can conclude that the EEU countries for the analyzed period were the main suppliers to Russia of meat, milk and dairy products, eggs and products of their processing. At the same time, the APEC countries accounted for the largest share in export of fish and fish products.

Delivery of products to the territory of Russia the three weeks were mainly carried out by road and sea transport. Road traffic made up 66,22 thousand tons. In container shipping had of 46.73 thousand tons, marine bilge transport – about 73,61 thousand tons, rail transport – 5.4 million tons, air transport – 0,1 thousand tons.
