According to the International epizootic Bureau, as of 01.10.2018 within the 18 regions of the country was 107 outbreaks of the disease. Cases are found in equal measure among domestic and wild animals.

While in Bryansk and Smolensk region for the past two years are prosperous by African swine fever, which is confirmed by results of the carried out in the fgbi "Bryansk interregional veterinary laboratory" 7465 studies from domestic pigs and from wild boars 259.

However, of particular concern was the outbreak of the disease in a large industrial pig farms with the highest degree of biological protection. This year alone there are three cases of African swine fever in pig farms, which at the time of registration flash had 4 compartment and wide economic ties that could contribute to the increased risk of transmission of ASF virus between subjects.

In cooperation with the state regional veterinary services, law enforcement, and border agencies are working to curb the unauthorized movement of pork products, and live animals.

Also epizootic welfare of both regions is controlled by the Administration of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Bryansk and Smolensk oblasts by carrying out control and supervising business entities engaged in the sphere of turnover of pigs and pork products.

So, during this period of 2018 carried out 92 inspections of enterprises engaged in the maintenance and breeding of pigs, production and sale of pork and products of its processing, 29 hunting farms.

According to the results of control activities have been brought to responsibility 77 perpetrators, imposed penalties for the sum about 200 thousand rubles, withdrawn from circulation and sent for recycling about 1,000 kg of pork products of unknown origin.

According to the materials of the office of Rosselkhoznadzor, the activity of two pig farms of Smolensk was suspended in a judicial order for periods of 30 and 90 days.
