"The Ministry of agriculture developed a draft long-term strategy of development of the grain sector in the Russian Federation up to 2025 and in the horizon to 2035, which reflects the main priorities of the state policy on development of the grain sector until 2035," — said the press service.

Among these priorities is to increase the production of grain and leguminous crops, development of processing and storage, infrastructure and logistics, and the development of export of grain and leguminous crops along with the internal needs of Russia.

"Once finalized, the strategy will be approved in the prescribed manner", — added in Ministry of agriculture.

On Wednesday, the economic development Ministry presented the forecast of socio-economic development to 2036. In particular, the Ministry expects that in 2030, the gross grain harvest will amount to 138 million tons, and exports — around 50.5 million tons. The grain harvest in 2036 may increase to 150 million tons, while exports will be about 56 million tons.

Earlier Thursday, the Ministry of agriculture said to RIA Novosti that he agreed with the Ministry regarding the figures for the gross grain harvest in 2030 and 2036. The achievement of objectives, according to the agricultural Ministry may provided farmers with financial and material resources, favourable weather conditions and conducting farming operations at the optimum time.
