During the meeting the sides discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the framework of the State program of development of agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the years 2017-2021.

With the aim of implementation of strategic tasks set by the President in his annual Message, first and foremost, in order to increase productivity in agriculture and the export of processed agricultural products is at least 2.5 times, reviewed the progress of implementation of the Joint action Plan between the MFA and the Ministry of agriculture on attracting foreign investment in agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan and trade development up to 2020. After a detailed review of the Plan, a decision was made on the implementation of activities in connection with strengthening of activity of the MFA of the RK investment and export direction.

Special attention was paid to issues of implementation of investment projects in the agricultural sector, in particular, the development of crop production, Assembly, agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as to attract large TNCs to the development of production and processing of milk, dairy products and meat production.

The heads of ministries focused on the importance of close cooperation in the field of agriculture with international organizations, in particular, with the Food and agriculture organization of the UN (FAO), the Islamic organization for food security, the Organisation for economic cooperation and development and others.

Heads of agencies agreed to conduct special trainings on the development of the agricultural industry, in particular, on promotion of agricultural products of our country in foreign markets for the employees of the embassies of Kazakhstan in the countries of export interest to local farmers.

Highlighted the need to increase informational support of the export of agricultural products, organization of press tours for foreign media and information campaigns in the field of agriculture.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs and the Ministry of agriculture intend to put into practice the regular holding of such meetings for strengthening cooperation in the promotion of export of Kazakh agricultural products and attracting investment in the agro-industrial sector of Kazakhstan.
