Thus, the draft law stipulates amendments to the Federal law from 02.01.2000 № 29-FZ "About quality and safety of food products" in terms of clarifying concepts, including the definition of food quality, including characteristics that define it (safety, consumer properties, energy and nutritional value, authenticity, etc.), and consolidate the principles of healthy eating.

At present, the interdepartmental approval of the draft law the draft law will be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation in the prescribed manner.
