The main change concerned the establishment of a deductible. Its minimum size cannot be less than 10 %, and the maximum size increased to 50 % of the sum insured in respect of each crop, group of perennial plants.

Under the new law there will be no threshold of loss (death) of the crop. Breeders will be able to receive insurance compensation in case of compulsory slaughter of the insured animal, the fact of the disease which the infectious diseases is not installed. Insurance reimbursement can be obtained in the case that the slaughter was carried out in accordance with the veterinary legislation of the Russian Federation and is aimed at preventing the spread of contagious diseases included in a special list.

The law stipulates in the contract the insurance amount is not less than 70% of the insured value of crop crops planting perennial planting, farm animals.

Amended rules for the payment of subsidies for compensation of part of expenses of agricultural producers for payment of insurance premiums from the Federal budget to budgets of subjects of the Russian Federation. To obtain data on the crop, it will be possible to use materials photos and video, obtained during remote sensing of the Earth.
