According to the law on state support of agricultural insurance, this process should be completed in each region after 15 days of sowing. Thus, the received data will be adjusted, but now they confirm a manifold increase in the demand for crop insurance. As of June 1, the insured area of spring sowing increased compared to as at the same date last year-almost seven times – up to 542 thousand hectares.

The reason, explained in the Union, changes in the agricultural products insurance act, which came into force this spring, and a set of joint measures undertaken by the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation on development of the agricultural insurance market. Recall From March 1 this year the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." is amended to increase flexibility in terms of crop insurance for farmers.
