According to Oksana LUT, at present our country produces about 1 million tons of products of deep processing of grain a year, while the Ministry of agriculture plans that in the medium term this figure will increase to 2.5 million tons.

As noted the Deputy Minister, the global market for this product is estimated at $ 16 billion. Given the fact that currently, Russia accounts for an insignificant share of this volume, the implementation of investment projects in this direction is particularly promising. In this regard, the Ministry expects the emergence of new processing companies and provides such companies by the state, including in the form of concessional loans. In addition, by the end of this year, the Ministry plans to develop new measures to support high-tech processing enterprises of grain.

In her speech Oksana Lute stressed that the implementation of these investment projects will allow to solve several large-scale tasks – from the replacement of imported products of deep processing of grain on the domestic market and address the issue of food security to increase its deliveries abroad. To this end, Russia has all the prerequisites, as one of the leading producers of grain crops in the world and a leader in the supply of wheat to the global market.
