"Collected 76,4 thousand tons of grain. The average yield of 39.6 t/ha, which is 26% higher than in 2018," — said in the regional government, explaining that a good harvest this year contributed to the weather conditions.

"And that means pricing will soon be stable enough, which will increase the profitability of agriculture in the region", — said Deputy Chairman of the government of the Leningrad region — Chairman of the Committee for agriculture and fishery complex Oleg Malashenko.

In the Leningrad region to date, collected 8.2 thousand tons of potatoes, the yield of 289 kg/ha (+9% by 2018), 7.2 thousand tons of vegetables, the yield of 340 kg/ha (+10%), 2.8 tons of rapeseed, yield 29 t/ha, which is almost 30% higher than in Russia on average.

Only at the end of the season is planned to collect 131.8 thousand tons of grain, 66,2 thousand tons of potatoes, 67,5 thousand tons of vegetables.
